PRESS RELEASE
The Montana Department of Revenue has notified the Madison County Tax Appeal Board that classification and appraisal notices have been mailed to affected property owners and purchasers under contracts for deed.These appraisals are the basis for calculation of the tax payment due in November. Taxpayers are encouraged to review the notices and contact the Department of Revenue at (406) 843-5335 located in the Madison County Courthouse concerning questions about the appraisals. Taxpayers have the right to appeal decisions of the Department of Revenue to the Madison County Tax Appeal Board.
The taxpayer must contact the Department of Revenue within 30 days of receipt of the appraisal notice in order to start the tax appeal process.
Madison County Nursing Home Foundation
The next Madison County Nursing Home Foundation board meeting is September 16, 2008 at 7:30 am in the Jury Room VC Courthouse. We invite anyone who may be interested in serving on this very important board, to come to our next meeting or contact any board member.The annual Madison County Nursing Home Foundation fundraising event will be held the evening of September 27, 2008 at the Elks Lodge in VC. The theme for this years event is “Raising the Roof” Live Auction, Food & Live Music by Ruby Valley Boys & Barb. Proceeds will help with needs at both County Nursing Homes.
